NO No Mac benefited from the application of blinkers as he bounced back to winning ways for Chipping Norton trainer Charlie Longsdon at Market Rasen.

The seven-year-old showed all his old zest to bound home nine lengths clear of Western Jo in a three-mile handicap chase for his first success since January 2015.

The 8-1 shot’s victory completed a 1,052-1 treble for Aidan Coleman, who had taken the two previous races on Kelvingrove and Marju’s Quest.

Longsdon had opened his account for the new season earlier in the week with an 116-1 across-the-card double courtesy of Long Lunch (8-1) at Warwick and Bob Tucker (12-1) at Kempton.

Long Lunch had with a 12-lengths verdict in a handicap chase.
