GYMNASTICS: Colin Rigby was crowned over 50s champion at the British Veterans competition at the Lilleshall National Sports Centre in Shropshire.
Rigby excelled on all six pieces of apparatus and finished a full two points clear of second place, with his top four scores totalling 46.25 points.
Fellow Carterton Gymnastics Club member Kate Deal, the British handstand champion, also impressed.
She claimed a silver medal in her first tumbling competition, as well as bronze in the four-piece apparatus event.
