WITNEY Wolves are bidding to land a top honour at Friday’s Oxfordshire Sports Awards.

The rugby club are shortlisted for the disability award and will hope to pick up the prize at the ceremony held at Oxford’s Kassam Stadium.

Wolves were also shortlisted for the honour 12 months ago.

They are up against exercise class Big, Bold and Balance and cricket’s Oxfordshire Bears.

Meanwhile, Witney resident Kate Williamson has been nominated for the sportswoman of the year honour.

The Eynsham Road Runner broke the record for the fastest over 70 female at the London Marathon last year.
