LEADERS Witney did their goal difference a power of good with an amazing 16-0 win at home to hapless South Berkshire 2nd in Middlesex, Berks, Bucks & Oxon Division 1 of the Men’s South League.
Witney went into the break 7-0 up and hungry for more, adding a further nine after the break.
Rory Heaslip led the way with five goals, while there were hat-tricks for Ben Wells, Jacob Deacon and Dan Wallis.
The scoring was completed by Ben Moss and Ryan Fitz-John.
Witney are now five points clear at the top of the table, with Newbury & Thatcham 2nd their nearest challengers.
However, there was defeat for Witney Ladies, who went down 3-2 at home to Reading 2nd in Division 3A of the South Clubs League.
Sunny Ricketts scored twice for Witney but it was not enough.
