WITNEY took another step closer to promotion with a 5-1 win at home to OMT 2nd in Middlesex, Berks, Bucks & Oxon Division 1 of the South League.
Ben Wells and Rory Heaslip put leaders Witney 2-0 up at half-time, but the visitors pulled a goal back in the second half.
This spurred on Witney who added further scores from Wells and Heaslip, and Ryan Fitz-John on his birthday.
It was yet another win for Witney and one step closer to stepping back to Regional League hockey.
Witney ladies won 2-1 away to Southgate 2nd in South Clubs League Division 3A.
Amy Williams put the visitors into a half-time lead.
Southgate equalised early in the second half.
But Witney clinched the points when Williams set up Ellie Kearney to score the winner.
