KINGHAM’S Emily Notman is celebrating after triumphing at the Pony of the Year show at Bury Farm, Leighton Buzzard.
With prizes worth over £24,000 on offer, the 13-year-old seized her chance to win the Talentspotters class.
Her smooth jump-off in the 16-strong decider saw Notman, riding her mother Sarah’s Irish bred 16-year-old gelding Take a Chance II, clinch victory with 0.64secs to spare.
The teenager was drawn second in the jump off and after moving into the lead, had to watch on nervously as the other 14 riders attempted to displace her.
Notman now turns her attention to qualifying for the Horse of the Year Show in her last campaign on the pony before moving up a class.
She is also looking for sponsorship and any interested parties should email notman4@aol.com
