Cokethorpe's team
Cokethorpe School Girls team suffered tie-break agony when competing for the Aberdare Cup at the LTA National Schools finals in Nottingham.
After losing to Repton on the first day, Cokethorpe went down 7-6 to St Peter’s Gloucester.
Five of the six matches were settled in third set tie-breaks with both the singles and doubles split. The tie-break shoot-out saw Cokethorpe lose 10-6.
Cokethorpe qualified for the top 16 girls schools competition having won their regional division.
