CARTERTON GC can boast two national champions after the British Championships in Lilleshall.
Colin Rigby won the men’s over 50s title, and clubmate Kate Dela is the over 30s champion.
Angela Money gained a bronze in the women’s over 50s event, with Angela Bywater fourth.
The three new members of Carterton’s adult squad – Lisa Foggett (over 30), plus over 40s competitors Sarah Colley and Pete Henman – came in an impressive eighth, fifth and sixth in the country respectively.
Head coach Debra Courtenay-Crane: said “The team have worked very hard to achieve their personal best.
“I am very proud of all of them, and the coaches Georgina Money and Madeleine Crossley.”
