TWO goals from Liam Frost gave Witney a 2-1 victory away to Tring, which keeps them second in South League Division 2.

After a slow start, Witney eventually took the lead just before half-time.

Frost produced some silky movement and found the net from a difficult angle.

In the second half, Witney continued to create chances.

They made it 2-0 when the ball was fizzed into the D and deflected up on to the post, but with a little twist, Frost netted from a narrow angle.

Tring pulled back a goal ten minutes from time, but never threatened to equalise.

Witney are two points behind leaders Reading 3rd with a game in hand.

Witney Ladies’ match at Hampstead 2nd in Division 2 of the South Clubs League was postponed due to a frozen pitch.
