WITNEY’S Maya Thorsdottir-Saldana continued to shine in the girls 11-year-old age group at the final weekend of the Oxfordshire & North Buckinghamshire County Championships.
Thorsdottir-Saldana followed up her success in the first round, by winning the 200m breaststroke and coming second in the 50m breaststroke.
She also had top-eight placings in the 100m backstroke as well as the 50m and 200m freestyle.
Witney’s girls 16 & under and open medley relay team of Lauren Mellings, Ellie Browne, Ella Edwards and Maddie Good came in the top eight in both events.
The club’s other top three placed finishers included Ella Edwards, 15, in the 100m butterfly and Eleanor Perks, also in the 100m butterfly.
Their other finalists were Hattie Lever, Ellie Browne, Maddie Good, Erin Stewart, Jessica Miller, Eleanor Perks, Ben Kinahan, Reuben Coppuck, Bertie Lever and Lauren Mellings.
