RACING: Longsdon's duo

Chipping Norton trainer Charlie Longsdon took his impressive tally for the season to 61 winners with a 187-1 double at Tow-cester on Monday courtesy of Rossmore Lad and Venceremos.

Rossmore Lad (9-2) only had to be pushed out by Richard John-son to take the three-mile handicap hurdle by seven lengths from Teenage Kicks.

Venceremos then sprang a 33-1 shock in the National Hunt Flat Race with Kielan Woods aboard, beating June French by three-quarters of a length.

Leafield trainer Mark Rimell was on the mark with Ours, who came out on top in a match at Warwick.

Nick Scholfield made all the running on the ten-year-old to slam lone rival Fighting Chance by 49 lengths in a two-mile handicap chase.
