GYMNASTICS: Quartet are on song

Two girls from Carterton Gymnastic Club struck gold in the Oxfordshire Grades 14-9 Competition at Kingston Gymnastics Club, Milton Keynes, on Sunday.

Amelie Meaden, 7, won gold scoring 62.40 at level 14, her best piece being range and conditioning.

Niamh Herbert, 9, also took gold at level 13 scoring 56.55. Her best piece was on vault.

Meaden and Herbert competed on vault bars, beam, floor and range and conditioning – in their first competition.

Natasha Granville, 9, and Georgia Bishop, 10, both competed on vault, bars, beam and floor.

Granville competed at level 12 and scored 40.25 with her best piece being on vault.

Bishop competed at level 11 and took home silver with a score of 44.70 her best piece also being vault.
