Brassick gave Chipping Norton trainer Charlie Longsdon another debut bumper winner with victory at Wetherby.

The five-year-old picked up well for Kielan Woods to beat Saints And Sinners by three and three-quarter lengths in the extended two-mile contest.

Longsdon also struck with Dawn Commander at Market Rasen.

Sent off the 1-3 favourite for a three-mile novices’ hurdle, the five-year-old made no mistake as he galloped clear under Richard Johnson to slam All That Remains by seven lengths. Longsdon said: “It was not a very strong race, but he could not have done it any easier and he can now go out on his summer holidays with a good win by his name.

“We will go chasing with him next season and aim to get him ready early so he can enjoy a couple of wins before the big boys come out.”
