TENNIS: Time to hail Woodstock

Woodstock overcame a hailstorm to defeat Lower Windrush (Standlake) 2-1 in the AEGON County League Girls 14 & Under Division.

Play was interrupted by ten minutes of hail that turned the Woodstock courts white, but the ‘all-weather’ artificial grass surface soon recovered.

The match was finished in sunshine, with Lucy Grace and Taysie Gujral overcoming Rachael Potter and Ellen Broadhurst to put Woodstock top of the table.
