Henry Box (Witney) are celebrating a double success in the Oxfordshire finals.

They staged a terrific fightback to lift the Oxon Under 14 Cup with a thrilling 35-34 victory over Cherwell (Oxford), and also captured the Oxon Under 15 Cup with a convincing 37-26 win over Witney rivals Wood Green.

Cherwell took an early lead in the under 14 final, but Henry Box hit back with baskets from Luke Hatton and David Hughes in the second quarter.

Despite this, Cherwell had established a ten-point lead midway through the third quarter.

But, with two baskets from Ben Francis, the Witney lads reduced the deficit to 24-18 going into the final quarter.

In a dramatic final few seconds, Gavin Fielding scored two lay-ups to tie the scores at 30-30.

Overtime followed with Henry Box on team fouls.

But Hatton scored an early three-pointer, and he also added a long-range two-pointer as Henry Box scraped home.

Henry Box took the under 15 title for the second successive year.

Top scorers were captain Tom Iverson (12), Jack Kennedy (9) and Jordan Anderson (8).
