SWIMMING: Blackford takes the plaudits

Witney won the Peter Casey Trophy after an entertaining gala at Wantage Leisure Centre.

Their success was based on consistency throughout the age groups, as they won 13 races.

Harry Blackford's aggressive swim in winning the 12 & under boys 200m freestyle brought him the swimmer-of-the-match award, with the runner-up spot being shared between Lauren Whitehill (10 & under girls' backstroke) and Katy Hoare (12 & under girls' breaststroke).

Result: 1 Witney 141pts, 2 Wantage 111, 3 Henley 82.
