CALLUM O'Dowda was an unused substitute as the Republic of Ireland's drew 1-1 with the Netherlands in a friendly tonight.
The Oxford United winger has been a regular starter for the country's under 21 side for more than a year, but was a surprise inclusion in Martin O'Neill's 35-man provisional squad ahead of Euro 2016.
He will have to wait for a first cap, though, after watching the game at the Aviva Stadium from the bench.
