CALLUM O'Dowda made his international debut but just failed to make the final cut for the Republic of Ireland's Euro 2016 squad.
The Oxford United winger, who made his under 21 debut in March 2015, replaced Aiden McGeady with 15 minutes remaining in their friendly with Belarus in Cork.
The hosts lost the game 2-1.
After the game Ireland boss Martin O'Neill named his final 23-man squad which will head to the tournament in France.
O'Dowda was not included, but has impressed during the training camp and O'Neill hinted last week he could be involved in the qualifying campaign for the 2018 World Cup, which starts next season.
