THE four players who missed Oxford United's defeat to Bristol Rovers on Saturday with minor injuries all trained this morning.

Rob Hall, Kane Hemmings, Curtis Nelson and Chris Maguire were all not risked for the 2-0 loss.

But the quartet joined in today's session and will be monitored to see if they will be available for tomorrow's home game with Sky Bet League One leaders Sheffield United.

Head coach Michael Appleton said: "They are all going to try to train today.

"We'll have a better indication if they get through it and then if they don't get a reaction we'll keep our fingers crossed they might be available for tomorrow.

"I think all of them are 50/50 - it could go either way.

"As hard as it can be as a manager sometimes to have four of your more senior players as well as them being four of your better players being out, but the most sensible decision to make sure they're not out for a longer period of time."
