11:00am Tuesday 5th November 2013 in Rugby
WHEATLEY stretched their unbeaten run to six games with a 29-19 win at previous leaders Risborough.
Adam Muir and Andy Tippet scored Wheatley’s opening tries, with Duncan Dingle converting both.
Risborough hit back with a try, but new boy Will Alistair bagged Wheatley’s third score after a strong kick and chase.
Two converted tries brought Risborough level, but Dingle slotted a penalty and converted James Pollard’s try to win it.
Leaders Abingdon won 27-16 at Harwell.
Lock James Bird (2), wing James Webb, No 8 Gareth Smith and replacement flanker Dale Cross scored tries, with fly half Mark Roberts converting one.
Harwell, who trailed 12-11 at half-time, replied with tries from Tom Nicholas and Rob Douglas plus two Andy Lee penalties.
