Tom May says revenge will not be on London Welsh’s minds when they host London Scottish today.

Scottish beat Welsh 32-26 in the British & Irish Cup in October, but captain May says his side can take lessons rather than motivation from that clash.

“The cup is a totally different competition,” he said.

“They did a job on us, but we learnt some things about how they play.

“We have done our homework and are looking forward to the match.”

Welsh have not played at the Kassam Stadium since November 17 and May is relishing being back.

“I really like playing at the Kassam Stadium,” he said, “I think it is a great place for a club to have.

“Hopefully, we can keep making the most of it.”

Welsh have made an excellent start to the Championship, with nine wins from ten matches, but the experienced May is not getting carried away.

“We don’t want to get too far ahead of ourselves,” he said.

“It is a long season and there are a lot of important games to come.

“We are at a stage where we have to focus on what is directly in front of us.”

Championship sides will all play two matches between today and Sunday, January 5, but have opted for a variety of dates to maximise crowds over the festive period.
