SOUTH WEST SENIOR VASE FINAL
GOSFORD All Blacks’ Twickenham dreams were shredded by a 57-6 home defeat to Gloucestershire side Newent.
The hosts had high hopes going into the national quarter-final clash, but emerged with just two Tim Ellis penalties to show for their efforts.
Centre Ross Webb shone with two tries and 17 points from his boot, while flanker Barney Goatley grabbed a try treble.
Wing Dan Bubb–Sacklyn, prop Morgan Morris and replacement Jamie Meek also went over.
Despite their dominance, Newent had centre Charlie Geller and prop Chris Steward sin-binned.
