BANBURY Under 16s gained an impressive scalp by winning 22-17 at London Irish.

The visitors dominated early on, leading 17-0 thanks to tries from Jake Anderson, converted by Jack Briggs, Jacob Turner and Dan Morris.

Irish replied with a converted try, but Banbury looked in control after Morris’s second score.

The visitors conceded two more tries, but held on.

Banbury Under 13s scored six tries in a 34-10 victory over Stow-on-the-Wold at Bodicote Park.

Hector Stapleton, Max Bending, Alex Wilton, Harry Gardner, Tom Bacon and James Roberts all went over, Toby Parker converting two.
