FARINGDON’S Silverbacks defeated their veteran Goldenbacks counterparts 52-19 as the club celebrated their tenth anniversary.
The match, was was the centrepiece of Faringdon’s milestone day, pitted the club’s first team against a side of former players dating back to their debut game in 2004.
Mark Viner and Brad Peaston scored two tries apiece for the Silverbacks, with Will Thompson, Ed Cadwallader, Simon Tyrrell, Jon Woodward and James Timber also crossing over.
Darren Clark kicked two conversions and a penalty.
Ian Oglesby replied with a try double for the Goldenbacks and slotted two conversions, while Huw Lewis also went over.
Earlier, more than 100 children attended a training session and a new photo wall was unveiled in the clubhouse.
