GOSFORD All Blacks opened up with a 61-5 victory at Phoenix, but lost star player Harry Sutton to a leg injury.

Andy Schwarz led the way with a hat-trick of tries as Gosford crossed the whitewash 11 times.

Ben Bodinham and Oliver Highton each bagged braces, with Conor Hatton, Chris Bennett, Luke Newton and Marc Grant also notching.

Bodinham kicked three conversions, while James Dean scored Phoenix’s sole try.

Abingdon won 34-8 at Wheatley, despite being down to 13 men at one point.

Jason Whyte (2), Luke Matthews, Callum Percival, Rob Tyreman and Mark Roberts scored tries, with Roberts converting two.

Whyte and Tyreman were both yellow-carded in quick succession, while Wheatley replied with a try from Adam Muir and a penalty from Seb Wilson.

Littlemore lost 43-24 at home to Hungerford, while Chipping Norton were beaten 17-8 at Swindon College Old Boys.
