Chinnor second row Toby Salmon has left the club to go and play in New Zealand.

The 21-year-old lock forward played his last game for Chinnor in the 6-5 win at second-placed Dorking in Nat-ional 2 South last Saturday.

With Daz Oliver having suffered a recurrence of his groin injury in training, it means Chinnor will be without their first-choice second-row pairing as they visit in-form Worthing tomorrow.

David McKee replaces Salmon, teaming up with Ben Manning in the pack.

The only other change sees Jaryd Robinson returning on the wing after a spell overseas, in place of Martin Nutt.

The hard-fought victory over Dorking meant Chinnor had beaten both of the top teams in consecutive games after defeating Henley Hawks before Christmas, but director of rugby Matt Williams said tomorrow’s opponents were even more formidable. “Both ourselves and Worthing have beaten the top two teams in the last month and going to Worthing against their physical pack is a tough thing,” he said.

Meanwhile, Chinnor have signed former Bath and Worcester back row forward James Tyas, who has come out of retirement after being forced to give up the game due to tendon problems in both knees.

The 23-year-old made one Premiership appearance for Bath between 2010-13, and also played 32 times in the Championship on loan at Plymouth Albion, Moseley and Cornish Pirates.

Wing forward Robbie Stapley is back as Henley Hawks bid to consolidate their lead at the top of National 2 South when they visit Southend Saxons.

Stapley, who was unavailable for last week’s 50-5 trouncing of lowly Lydney at Dry Leas, returns at No 6, with Tom Hall moving to No 7 in place of the injured Tom Steindler.

Oxford Harlequins bid to follow up last week’s 17-15 win over bottom club Chard when they take on Bracknell in National 3 South West at North Hinksey Lane (2.30).

Centre Huw Dimond and wing Tom Tierney retain their places, and it’s hoped full back Jack Robinson’s eye injury will have healed in time.

Grove make two enforced changes as they visit high-flying Windsor in South West 1 East.

Joe Chilvers replaces the injured Tom Wells, while Nick Sevier comes in for the unavailable Harry Carr.
