DAVID Hyde and James Lamb scored two tries each as Witney made it 11 wins in a row in South West 1 East, with a 53-10 victory over Windsor.

Joe Rowles, Jake Thomas, Gareth Campbell and Ben Fisk also went over the whitewash for Witney.

Phil Thomas and Chris Laidler exchanged penalties for 3-3 after 35 minutes.

Hyde then drove over, before Rowles touched down for 13-3 at half-time.

On 46 minutes, Rowles fed Hyde to score, Thomas converted.

Rhys Davies then responded for Windsor. Laidler added the extras.

Scrum half Campbell added to Witney’s tally, Charlie Bennet successfully converted, and Lamb scored under the posts.

Lamb grabbed his second try, with Thomas successful from the boot again, before Fisk crossed the whitewash late on.

Grove prepared for Wednesday’s Oxfordshire Cup final against Oxford Harlequins in the best possible way, with a 16-8 victory over Newbury.

Guy Nicholl went over for an unconverted try and Martyn Walsh also crossed to give Grove a 10-0 lead.

Against the run of play, Newbury clawed eight points back before the break.

In the second half, replacement fly half Roger Sevier slotted two penalties as Grove secured victory in a match where they were more than in command.
