Witney finished fifth in South West 1 East after a commanding 59-19 win over bottom side Bletchley on Saturday.

Fly half George Lewis bagged a hat-trick of tries as Witney wrapped up their campaign with the 12th victory in their last 13 games.

But they suffered an early shock when Kevin Turnbull jinked over for a converted try to put the hosts ahead on 12 minutes.

Witney took until the 21st minute to bring the scores level.

Lamb put over the kick.

Dean Williams slotted home the extras.

However, a determined Witney side stormed back and added another try when strong pressure on the Bletchley line saw Lewis throw out a long pass to Matt Clarke to cross the whitewash, Lamb converting.

Witney kept up the pressure and charged into a 33-19 lead.

No 8 Richard Haire picked up and passed to Lewis, whose long pass picked out James Monks who touched down.

Three minutes later, second row forward Charlie Bennett brushed off some challenges before going over, Lamb adding the extras.
