GEORGE Lewis scored a hat-trick as Witney ran in ten tries to beat High Wycombe 64-5.

The victory, avenging their loss to the Berkshire side earlier this season, keeps the West Oxfordshire outfit fourth in South West 1 East.

Lewis twice converted his own tries as Witney took an early 14-0 lead at Hailey Road.

Henry Lamb jinked through and added the extras, before crossing again.

Louis Collins’s score, converted by Lewis, stretched their lead and on 54 minutes it was 43-0 as Matt Clarke and Rich Haire went over.

Wycombe eventually got off the mark when Henry Wyse touched down, but Witney continued to dominate.

Charlie Bennett went over and Lamb added the extras.

And soon it was 64-5 as Clarke crossed and Lewis completed his hat-trick.

Lamb converted both.

Witney’s Ryan Harris was sin-binned and Haire sent off as the sides clashed late on.

In the BB&O Premier, Chipping Norton lost 25-15 at home to Gosford All Blacks.

The visitors took a 5-0 lead on 22 minutes when Ben Bodinham raced over.

The full back then ran in his second score, converted by Will Watts, to make it 12-0.

Tom Tanner crossed for Chipping Norton, before a Watts penalty extended All Blacks’ lead to ten points.

On 65 minutes, Harry Sutton went over and Watts added the extras to make it 22-5.

Dan Hughes was sin-binned for the visitors and Tom Goff ran in from 45 metres to reduce the deficit to 12 points.

Chippy’s Dan Lightfoot was next to score an unconverted try to make it 22-15.

But Sutton’s drop goal ensured Gosford had the last say.
