A DOMINANT second-half performance saw Witney run in five tries and beat lowly Swanage & Wareham 33-7.
The west Oxfordshire side’s fourth successive victory leaves them two points off third in South West 1 East.
Carl Strutt’s try, converted by George Lewis, gave visiting Witney the lead.
But from there on, play mainly took place in their half and it was 7-7 at the break when Callum Young touched down and Philip Graves added the extras.
After the break, Lewis converted his own try and Witney raced into a 26-7 lead.
Firstly, Rhys Morgan went over after good work from captain and No 8 Charlie Bennett, who made up 20 metres after picking up from a scrum.
Lewis added the extras.
And within three minutes of that score, Witney turned over the ball on Swans' ten-metre line and David Hyde stepped through and outpaced the defence to go over.
Lewis' attempted conversion came back off a post.
Witney continued to dominate and on 75 minutes it was 33-7 when Ben Fisk forced his way over.
Lewis converted to make sure of victory.
They next face local rivals Grove at Hailey Road on Saturday.
