OXFORD secured promotion to the BB&O Premier after running in 11 tries to beat Phoenix 69-13.

The North Hinksey-based side have sealed their place in the eighth tier of English rugby with four games still to play.

Oxford crossed three times in the first ten minutes through Tom Heydon, Thom Murtons, who converted seven of the 11 tries, and Elias Charlett.

Ali Gibb (2), Ronan Casserley, Louis Byrne, Danny Williams and Karl Crockford made it 59-3.

Winger Gibb completed his hat-trick in the second half, with Craig Boyce also crossing.

Elswhere, Chipping Norton lost 40-8 at Risborough and Faringdon beat Harwell 12-0.

In the Premier, Littlemore fought back to earn a 19-19 draw with Wheatley and preserve their two-year unbeaten home record.

Jack Taylor’s try, converted by Aaron Laman, put the visitors in front.

Toby Butler and Jordan Hook also crossed, Laman adding the extras once, as Wheatley led 19-0 at the break.

But Littlemore rallied and Ben Symington dived over, Stewart Beale converted.

Luke Ward then crossed to reduce the deficit with two minutes to go, before Symington drove over again and Beale converted to earn a draw.

Abingdon secured a 22-0 home win over Tadley.

Wallingford made it three wins from four games when beating Thatcham 21-17 at home in Southern Counties North.

Ian Jefferys and Dan Sadler crossed for the hosts, with Phil Dawes kicking three penalties and a conversion.

Gosford All Blacks remain seven points adrift of safety after losing 82-15 at Windsor.
