Aladdin in mobile phone age
ALADDIN comes into the mobile phone age in a new show by Witney's Class Act.
The panto character carries not only the traditional lamp, but also works his magic with texts and ring tones.
The age-old story also has its reliable features, including an outrageous Widow Twanky, as well as sing-along songs, jokes, and plenty of on-stage dancing.
Class Act Musical Theatre Company involves local people of all ages, and in the current production, the cast ranges from seven to 70 years old.
Director, Ruth Baigent, said: "We have built on our experience of previous pantos and musicals, and everyone has given 101 per cent to produce our most exciting production yet."
Performances run from January 31 to February 2, 7.30pm, with a matinee on February 2, at 2.30pm, at the town's Corn Exchange.
Tickets, £7 and £5, are available from the Witney visitor information centre, telephone 01993 775802.
