CLARKE Sidney "Sid" Of Carterton. Passed Peacefully away on 7th August 2019 aged 85. A beloved Husband to Doris, a dear Dad, Grandad and Great Grandad. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Funeral Service to take place at St John the Evangelist Church, Carterton on Tuesday 27th August at 2:00pm, followed by burial in Black Bourton Cemetery. Family flowers only, but donations if desired to the Burford Nursing Home may be sent c/o E. Taylor & Son Funeral Directors, 21 Corbett Road, Carterton, Oxon, OX18 3LG. Tel: 01993 842421.

Sid was a very big part of our lives growing up and will be sorely missed. A real character, that was loved by my family. Even though I moved away from Carterton in 1990 he and Doris were still friends that we made sure our daughters got to know on their visits back to their grandparents, Jenny and Gordon Maxwell. I’m sure that he and Dad will be meeting up, having a whiskey and a laugh while looking down on the rest of us, knowing that they made a really positive impact on everyone the met.
