ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1) Notice of Temporary Traffic Order
Tackley - Bridleway Closure 379/2/10 Date of Order: 23 December 2019 Coming into force: 1 January 2020 This Order is being introduced in the interest of public safety following construction of a new footbridge crossing over the rail line which is anticipated to be completed 31 December 2020. The effect of the Order is to close the current public Bridleway 379/2/10 that runs over the level crossing adjacent to Tackley Railway Station. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for pedestrian access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of bridleway. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. There is no alternative route pending construction of the footbridge and in the interests of public safety in the interim, Network Rail are providing a marshal to assist crossing. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 6 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner (Ref.
