NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF PUBLIC PATH EXTINGUISHMENT AND DIVERSION ORDERS AND DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDERS HIGHWAYS ACT 1980, WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981 I.The Oxfordshire County Council, Chadlington Footpath No. 5 (part) and Chadllngton Unrecorded Footpath Public Path Extinguishment and Definitive Map and Statement Modification Order 2020. 2. The Oxfordshire County Council, Unrecorded Footpath No 19, Chadlington Public Path Diversion and Definitive Map and Statement Modification Order 2020. On 24th March 2021, the Oxfordshire County Council confirmed the above Orders under section 118 and 119 of the Highways Act 1980 respectively and section 53A(2) of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981. The effect of the extinguishment Order as confirmed is to modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by extinguishing the 44m length of unrecorded footpath running NE from the public road to Lower Court Farm, Chadlington at OS Grid Ref SP 3245 2128, across the garden of 'Old Forge' to Chadlington Fp 5 at SP 3248 2131 and also modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by extinguishing 135m of Fp 5 running NE from the unrecorded footpath at OS Grid Ref SP 3248 2131 to SP 3256 2141 as shown on the Order plan. The effect of the diversion Order as confirmed is to modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by diverting the 170m length of unrecorded footpath running NE from the public road leading to Lower Court Farm at OS Grid Reference SP 3243 2130 across open field to Chadlington Fp 5 at SP 3256 2141 to a new 170m line beginning 17m further NW along the road and running from at SP 3242 2132, NE along the field edge and then across it to SP 3256 2141 where it re-joins Fp 5 as shown on the Order plan. It is not possible to view the Order at local council offices as they are temporarily closed due to the COVID 19 pandemic. A copy of the Orders and Order plans is available

The Orders came into force on the date of confirmation but If any person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980 (the Act), as amended, and/or the powers of section 53A of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 (WCA) or on the ground that any requirement of either Act or of any regulation made under them has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act and as applied by s53A(7) WCA, within six weeks from 15th April 2021 make an application to the High Court.
