NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF AN ORDER PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION AND DEFINITIVE MAP AND
STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDER HIGHWAYS ACT 1980, WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981 The Oxfordshire County Council, Godington Footpath No. 6 (part), Public Path Diversion and Definitive Map and Statement Modification Order 2021
On 31st March 2021, the Oxfordshire County Council confirmed the above Order under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 and section 53A(2) of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981. The effect of the Order as confirmed is to modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by diverting 413m of Godington Fp 6 running westwards for approximately 339m from OS Grid Reference SP 6345 2698 to Godington Farm at SP 6311 2695 and then northwestwards for approximately 74m to its junction with the Godington Road at SP 6305 2700 to a new line running for 278m west-north-westwards from SP 6345 2698 to Godington Road at SP 6318 2706 as shown on the Order map.
It is not possible to view the Order at local council offices as they are temporarily closed due to the COVID 19 pandemic. A copy of the Order and Order plan is available.

The Order came into force on the date of confirmation but if any person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980 (the Act), as amended, and/or the powers of section 53A of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 (WCA) or on the ground that any requirement of either Act or of any regulation made under them has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act and as applied by s53A(7) WCA, within six weeks from 15th April 2021 make an application to the High Court.
