THE Institute of Physics has recognised Witney-based cryogenics firm ICEoxford as part of its 2017 Business Innovation Awards.
The company has been praised for the development of the Kelvin High Cooling Power Cryogenic System, which will enable research in photonic quantum computing.
The firm’s equipment can cool to ten-thousandths of a degree above absolute zero – the coldest temperature in the universe.
ICEoxford was awarded one of five Innovation Awards at a Parliamentary reception in London last month.
Chris Busby, managing director of ICEoxford, said: “It is a great honour to receive this award.”
