A MUSICAL adaptation of the classic children’s story Peter Pan takes flight in Witney this week.

Abdabs Youth and Community Theatre will stage three performances at the Langdale Hall on Friday and Sunday.

The show is adapted from JM Barrie’s 1904 story about a boy who can fly and never grows up.

Actors have filmed some flying scenes in front of a “green screen”, which will be shown during the production.

Principal director Debbie Ruth said: “The songs are catchy and fun, and the script remains faithful to Barrie’s story. It’s great fun for adults and children alike.

“Members of the cast all muck in, helping to devise choreography, paint scenery, and make props and costumes. It’s essential for everyone to work as a team.”

Friday’s performance is at 7pm, while there are two on Sunday, at 1.30pm and 6pm.

Tickets are £7.50 for adults, £4 for concessions and £21 for families of two adults and two children. They are available from the Rapture music shop in the Woolgate Centre.
