ST PETER’S Primary School in Cassington is celebrating its 160th anniversary next week, with a special church service and two open afternoons.

The service will take place at St Peter’s Church at 10am on Sunday, with past and present pupils and parents welcome to attend.

Villagers and past pupils are being invited to visit the school between 3pm and 4.30pm on Tuesday and Wednesday to view old photographs and documents of its history.

The Bishop of Dorchester, the Rt Rev Colin Fletcher, will also be paying a visit to the school on Tuesday.

On Friday, July 5, pupils will enjoy a Victorian Day. There will be a Victorian Fayre that afternoon.
