COUPLES who met for the first time in an Oxfordshire pub or bar are wanted for a Valentine's Day competition.

Pub company Brakspear is looking for pub-going pairs in its Brakspear Pub Love competition.

The firm, which owns the Lamb at Crawley, Chequers in Charney Bassett and Rising Sun in Thame, is offering prizes including a drinks hamper, a bottle of Laurent Perrier Rosé and a Pinkster G&T for two for the couple with the most romantic tale.

Marketing manager Emma Sweet said: "We thought it would be fun to celebrate pub romances around Valentine's Day. And as the prizes are to be enjoyed in the pub where they first met, it's a way for partners to take a trip down memory lane to the start of their relationship."
