A WILDLIFE park was delighted to welcome a lanky new addition.
Cotswold Wildlife Park, in Burford, is introducing Elsa, a new Bactrian camel calf, to visitors.
Elsa is the seventh calf of Maggie, a camel that was born in the park in 1998.
Jamie Craig, curator of Cotswold Wildlife Park, said: “A baby camel is always a very welcome addition to the park, both for the keepers and the visitors.
“Elsa is growing well and has finally managed to get to grips with the tricky issue of manoeuvring on such long and ungainly legs”.
The wild Bactrian camel is classified as critically endangered by the International Union for Conservation of Nature.
The animal is one of the rarest large mammals on earth.
