PLANS to build a Travelodge and Costa Coffee drive-thru in Witney have shrunk in size.
The plans, submitted to West Oxfordshire District Council in September last year, originally proposed a four-storey 72-room Travelodge hotel by the roundabout where Ducklington Lane meets the A40 south of the town.
After discussions with council planners, developer Hinton Group decided to reduce the size of the hotel to two storeys with 37 bedrooms.
Around 20 jobs will be created as a result of the scheme.
