Golfer Eddie Pepperell has revealed the Helen and Douglas House hospice caps that are set to raise the charity thousands.

The 27-year-old, who won his maiden European Tour event earlier this year, has promised to wear the caps bearing the hospice's logo during the PGA Championship at Wentworth later this month.

Pepperell, from Sutton Courtenay, will also wear the caps during the Italian Open and both events will be broadcast live on Sky Sports and viewed by millions.

He Tweeted a picture of the caps he would be wearing at Wentworth, when the tournament gets under way on May 24.

A Just Giving page set up by the golfer has already raised more than £7,500 for the charity.

He visited the cash-strapped East Oxford hospice earlier this month and said he was 'amazed' by the work being done and the care given to so many people.
