AN ELDERLY woman is in hospital with serious injuries following a crash near Banbury.
The woman was one of two people hurt in the two-car crash in Shenington, which happened on Thursday afternoon.
Appealing for witnesses today, police said a silver Nissan Note and a white Nissan Juke crashed at the Alkerton Barn Farm junction just after midday.
One man suffered minor injuries and the woman was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford, where she remains in a serious but stable condition.
Investigating officer PC Phil Austin, of the Joint Operations Unit for Roads Policing based in Bicester, said: "We are appealing for any witnesses who may have seen this collision.
"We would also ask anyone who might have dash-cam footage of the incident to come forward."
