A CAR rolled into a hedge in a three-car collision near Chipping Norton yesterday morning.

Emergency services attended the scene on the A361 at Swerford just after 9am, which left those involved with minor injuries.

Fire crews from Chipping Norton, Hook Norton and Banbury worked with Thames Valley Police and South Central Ambulance Service to deal with the incident.

Police are investigating the cause of this incident.

Watch manager Simon Piper from Chipping Norton Fire Station said: “Following a number of Road Traffic Collisions throughout Oxfordshire and the Thames Valley over the past couple of days, I would urge drivers to be cautious and drive according to the conditions’."

The A361 between Banbury and Chipping Norton was recently named the 'ninth-riskiest' A-road in the UK and will receive millions of pounds of improvements from the Department for Transport's Safer Roads Fund.

The work is estimated to prevent 46 fatal and serious injuries over the next 20 years.
