A POPULAR footpath has been resurfaced thanks to grants totalling £4,700.
The Windrush Path from Standlake to Newbridge, West Oxfordshire, received the improvements after The Lower Windrush Valley Project secured funding from several organisations, including £4,000 from the Trust for Oxfordshire’s Environment.
The path is used by many hundreds of people every year, including local residents and those visiting the area and staying at one of the nearby hotels or campsites.
A new interpretation panel at the start of the footpath in Standlake will be installed in the new year thanks to the funding.
