A POP-UP ‘curiosity shop’ has opened at the Westgate Centre so that youngsters can try out fun experiments and activities.
Eynsham-based The Curiosity Box is creating a pop-up science laboratory at the shopping centre.
The company, which sells fun and educative science kits to families and schools, will run its pop-up venture until Sunday.
Children will be encouraged to take part in experiments, talk to scientists, and learn more about the world around them.
The shop will be open during normal Westgate opening hours, close to the Cath Kidston store.
Renee Watson, founder of The Curiosity Box, said there will be fun ‘sciency stuff’ for all ages.
She added: “We find that the grown-ups end up getting stuck right in too.
“The way we do science at The Curiosity Box brings out the child in everyone, putting real wonder into this wonderful time of year.”
The Curiosity Box is an independent company and has sent science kits to over 75,000 children across the globe.
The firm is following the footsteps of independent men’s store Burrows and Hare. The lifestyle retailer started as a family-run business in Oxford’s Covered Market and opened its second store in Westgate in October.
The Curiosity Box was founded in 2016, by Australian-born biochemist Ms Watson.
