AGAINST Breast Cancer’s popular fundraiser Breast Walk Ever will return twice in 2019, with the addition of a new walk in Berkshire.

The Abingdon charity has established itself as a regular fixture in the Oxfordshire walking calendar each September and walkers can enjoy an additional Breast Walk Ever on Sunday, May 5.

The new route takes walkers west from three scenic starting points at Marlow, Shiplake and Goring Heath to the finishing village in Beale Park near Pangbourne. People can choose from a full marathon, a half marathon or 10km distance.

Event organiser Richard Martin said: “We are delighted to offer a Breast Walk Ever in Berkshire in 2019 alongside our established Oxfordshire walk. The new route is stunning, and we are looking forward to welcoming lots of new walkers.”

Entry fees range from £11 to £26, depending on distance, and each walker gets free entry to Beale Park after the walk as well as a finishers medal.

Former British gymnast and Against Breast Cancer patron Suzanne Dando-Reynolds has taken part in the Breast Walk Ever in recent years. She said: “I’d like to say how much we value the efforts of our fabulous walkers, raising vital sponsorship for our ground-breaking research.”
