THE GOVERNMENT has survived a vote of no confidence by a majority of 19.
In a vote in the House of Commons this evening, 325 MPs chose to reject the Labour motion, compared to 306 in favour.
The motion was called by Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn yesterday evening after the Commons rejected Theresa May's EU withdrawal agreement by 230 votes.

The prime minister would have been forced to resign if she had lost tonight's vote, but she will now meet party leaders as she works to deliver on the result of the 2016 referendum.
There were no rebellions on either side, meaning every Conservative MP sided with the government, including Oxfordshire's four Tories.
Meanwhile, both Labour MP for Oxford East Anneliese Dodds and Oxford West and Abingdon's Layla Moran, a Liberal Democrat, voted against the government.
Ms Moran had earlier tweeted: "Do I have confidence in this Government? No. No I do not."
