SUPPORTERS of an Abingdon school will host a jumble sale to fund new facilities.
The parent-teacher association at Fitzharrys School has arranged the fundraiser on Sunday, and is keen for members of the community to attend.
It will take place at the school from 10am until midday, with entry priced at £1 or free for children aged 11 or younger.
The jumble sale promises an array of second-hand bargains and has been organised by Fitzharrys School Association, the secondary school's PTA.
Proceeds will be put towards a major PTA project to improve school facilities, transforming tired areas of the school's grounds into attractive outdoor spaces for students to benefit from.
Planning for the scheme is in the early stages, but current ideas include new seating and undercover areas, a water fountain and even an outdoor gym.
The development has been planned to celebrate the school's 60th anniversary next year, and the PTA hopes to raise thousands of pounds to fund the project.
